This book will be a blessing to you or anyone you know that is dealing with illness, sickness, disease, or mental problems. I actually bought this book based on a recommendation from my late friend, Precious. We were discussing sickness and how God wanted us healed. She was in ministry school and one of the books they studied was Christ the Healer. She gave rave reviews and suggested I get it. She told me according to the book, many people had been healed by the time they finished the book so I had to get the book to see what it said.
I’m glad I did because it really is a good book.
Why Bosworth Wrote the Book
He believed that the messages he gave over the airwaves could be meditated upon if it was in written form. He didn’t set out to write a great book. He wanted the people to understand what God said in his word concerning healing. The only way he knew to do that – so it could have a lasting effect – was to put it in print form.
His prayer is “We desire that every one of you …[be] followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:11-12)
Christ the Healer Overview
F.F. Bosworth begins the book with teaching you what the scriptures plainly say concerning God’s will to heal your body. He weaves scriptures in his writing seamlessly. He shows you have Jesus has redeemed you from all sicknesses and disease, both physically and mentally. He shows you how Christ is willing to heal you. He uses scripture after scripture to prove his points.
Bosworth shows you how to receive your healing from Christ and how to have your prayers answered. If you are in a rush to receive your healing, Chapter 5 shows you how to receive your redemptive blessing of healing in three steps.
Christ the Healer has taught me to focus more on the Word of God and his promises. I have learned that obedience will unlock all kinds of doors, including healing. While I am simplifying what is in this book I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with any kind of dis-ease. You can never go wrong with the scriptures. What I like also is the fact that the book gives many testimonies at the end. Of course, I went to the end first. For whatever reason, I always start at the end of the book. Maybe I want to know the end before I know the beginning. In this way, I have something to look forward to.
My Favorite Sayings from the Book
“All of God’s works are potentially in the seed. By keeping God’s garden planted…a child of God can accomplish things a thousand times greater than men of the highest human talents can accomplish, by receiving His promises.”
“Your success and usefulness in the world is going to be measured by your confession and by the tenacity with which you ‘hold fast’ to that confession under all circumstances.”
