Psalm 148 commands all of creation to praise its creator. It calls for everything from the heavens and all that is in it to the earth and everything in and below it. Every single creation is to praise the name of Yahweh, its creator. This includes every living soul upon this earth.
A Praise to Yahweh
Halleluyah!
We praise you, Yahweh, from the heavens!
We praise you in the heights!
We praise you with all your angels!
We praise you with all your armies!
We praise you with the sun and moon!
We praise you with the all shining stars!
We praise you with the highest heaven, and waters above the heavens!
We, along with all your creation, praise your name Yahweh; for you commanded, and they were created. You established them forever and ever. You have given a law to which they must conform.
We praise you, Yahweh, from the earth, along with sea monsters and watery depths, fire and hail, snow and mist, storm-winds that obey his word, mountains and every hill, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all livestock, creeping reptiles, flying birds, kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers on earth, young men and women alike, old men and children.
We praise your name Yahweh, for your name alone is exalted. Your glory is above both earth and heaven. You have increased the power of your people, granted praise to all your faithful, to the descendants of Israel, a people close to you.
Halleluyah!
