Shabbat Shalom!
“You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.”
Father God, I can’t think of a time when You weren’t good to me. Even when I wasn’t good to You, You never held that against me. Instead, You were with me in the midst of my sorrow. You were there for me when no one else was.
You allow us to get ourselves together before it’s too late. You delay Your coming for this very reason. If that doesn’t say You’re good, I don’t know what does.
You discipline me because You are good and desire I be and do well. You bless me with life, a relationship with You through Your son, Yeshua. Now I know You are good to allow this to happen.
Father, for all of the goodness You have showered upon me, teach me Your statues so I don’t sin against You. Help me to be a doer of Your Word and not a hearer only. This is my desire.
How has God been good to you? Tell us one meaningful example in the comments.
